Nikita Kadan was born in 1982 in Kyiv. In 2007 graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. Member of the R.E.P. artistic group and Hudrada curatorial and activist association.
His works are in the collections of The Pinakothek der Moderne (Munich), M HKA (the Museum of Contemporary Art, Antwerp), Mumok (Museum of Modern Art, Ludwig Foundation, Vienna), Militärhistorisches Museum (The Bundeswehr Military History Museum in Dresden, Germany), Galeria Arsenal in Białystok. Nikita took a part in the 56th Venice and 14th Istanbul Biennale as well as in the Kyiv School Biennale in 2015. The winner of the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2011, the Future Generation Art Prize 2014, and the Kazimir Malevich Prize 2016. Was nominated for the Taras Shevchenko National Prize in 2020.
